Zenor & LaBrie Succeed in Federal False Claims Act Case

Adam Zenor and Derek LaBrie received a verdict on behalf of their client, the Federal Government, and the State of Iowa in a state and federal False Claims Act case. In a False Claims Act case, a relator sues on behalf of the United States of America and the State of Iowa for wrongs committed against those entities as well as against the relator. On January 10, 2022, the matter proceeded to a five-day bench trial. On September 23, 2022, Chief Judge Stephanie M. Rose issued a Trial Order finding in favor of Plaintiff on the federal False Claims Act, the Iowa False Claims Act, and for wrongful retaliation against the relator. The final judgment of $7,598,991.50 was issued on November 9, 2022.
