Zenor & LaBrie Prevail at Jury Trial on Business Dispute

Adam Zenor and Derek LaBrie successfully defended a southeast Iowa real estate professional in Appanoose County District Court. Plaintiff alleged breach of contract, misappropriation of trade secrets and confidential business information, breach of fiduciary responsibilities, interference with prospective business advantage, breach of duty of loyalty, and intentional interference with contract. Plaintiff asked an eight-person jury to award damages for those claims. After a three-day trial, the jury returned a defense verdict, finding the non-compete agreement at issue to be invalid and unenforceable.
