Bi-Partisan Legislation Passed in General Assembly and Signed into Law

On March 22, Governor Kim Reynolds signed into law Senate File 232, an Act amending Iowa Code 321.89. The bill closed loopholes which opened up Iowa small businesses and law enforcement to unwarranted liability with regard to abandoned vehicles and property. Michael Kuehner’s advocacy on the bill’s behalf resulted in bi-partisan passage in both houses of the General Assembly on its way to the governor’s desk for signature.
